Sheesh!

My new chore continues.  I have bought a new machete because my broke (those hydrangea bushes!)  My lawnmower overheated so I am having to wait on cutting the grass.  This job is harder than it seemed...and that's saying a lot!

How do I get into these predicaments?

Yesterday morning, Padmae asked (actually, she TOLD me) that she wants me to renovate the yard (which would explain why I didn't write a post yesterday. I haven't finished this job, I just got a quick chance to write a post before I went out there again!). We have an acre lot with overgrown plants (- um, weeds) all over the backyard (except for the 20" x 20" patch of land that my wife calls her garden). My wife wants me to bush hog the whole backyard (in which some of the plants are taller than me!). But does she want me to rent a bush hogging VEHICLE? Ooooh no! She wants me to do it with a lawn mower, hedge clippers, an ax, and a machete. I mean, come ON! I am a 43 year old man and I am not feeling any younger. Besides, I have a lot to do right now with my recent promotion and all that jazz. But if I tell her this, she will say, "Well, you had enough time to work on your album for your rock band!"

FINALLY!!!

Yes!  We (The Jammin' Jeddi) have finally gotten our debut album out.  Titled Time to Relax, it has 5 songs!  (What?  You think that's not a lot?)  Woo-hoo!  I am soo happy.  I listen to it all the time in the car.  Luke rolls his eyes and says that it's not that good.  I always say, "Young man: you try to make a whole album in one year and see how easy it is for YOU to do!"  That always makes him be quiet!  We are overjoyed!

Business...

I apologize for not having written a post sooner.  Ever since my promotion on Sunday, I have been unusually busy.  I have no more homework, but I have been sent on missions.  I have to get used to this schedule if I am going to be able to maintain my blog!  I had no idea what Master Obi-Won had to do on a normal basis.  Sheesh!  I guess I should have been more patient with all of my Masters!

Wow!

Yesterday, I was at the Jeddi temple with Master Yoduh and Master Wendu (we were playing songs for our Jammin' Jeddi band) and Master Wendu said, "Time out!"
I looked at him and he said that he had something important to tell me. He said that the Jeddi council held a vote and it was almost unanimous that I should be promoted to a Jeddi Knight. Of course, he thought that because I always turn my homework in late that I should stay a Padiwan, but, hey, who's complaining! It was almost unianimous! Luke and I are now on the same rank! The ceremony will be tomorrow.

New Photos!

Remember when I took that vacation to my parent's house?  Well, I am now finally getting around to uploading the photos of "Mugshot Mania"!  You can view them at my photo blog: http://www.anikinsphotos.blogspot.com

We'll See about that!

It occurred to me yesterday that I didn't know what would become of Chewbacka when Hon and Lea got married.  I asked Hon about it and he said they had planned it all in advance - at least he did.  He said that Chewy could be their butler and his brother Crunchy could come and be their chauffer.  He said that they couldn't find any uniforms that would fit those guys, but it would work out okay.  I just don't know if Lea will want "walking carpets" for servants...

It's a Hard Life...

The Jammin' Jeddi are working on their first album (still).  We have all the recording equipment, but Master Yoduh is sick right now, so Master Wendu and I are having to wait.  We are almost finished with it.  I hope we can release it soon!  (Like, in the next month or so!)

200th Post!!!

I just got back from our vacation and found that Master Wendu plans to buy a foosball table for the Jeddi Game Room. I vote for a Billiard Table. But that is a secondary desire compared to the desire to find out where Master Wendu gets all this money (because, when ever we have a new addition to the Jeddi temple, they put an ad on the Jeddi website that advertises it and tells that Master Wendu funded it! I don't get it!

Ahh, It's Great to Be Back!

We got back from our vacation yesterday.  We had a blast.  (All except for the hiking disaster, and the popped barrel.  Oh, and the coffee spill!) it was a great vacation.  I wasn't able to write a post yesterday because Padmae wanted me to drive.  (She bought a new book at the Shopping Spree Mall on Saturday and she wanted to read it).  I was really happy that we went ahead and had our vacation because Luke has picked a college that he wants to go to (he and Lea are 18, so he is going a little late, but, he wanted to stay home for this year).  He wants to go to SAN (Space Academy on Nabu).  Lea has decided not to go to college because she is marrying Hon this year and probably won't have time.  Man!  I will be sad when they are both gone, but, hey!  We had a fun vacation!

What a Day!

Today we spent our whole day at shopping spree mall. I am in our hotel room writing this post right before going to sleep. Man! If anyone does not know, it is death to go shopping with a superpowered woman for 5 hours! I only bought a new blaster for my collection, but Padmae bought a whole trunkload of stuff for herself and Lea. We will have to rent a U-Haul. Tomorrow is the last day of our vacation. (I am going to nap and let "superpowered Padmae" do most of the driving!)

Wendusbad Caverns

Today we arrived at Uvo IV. Then we went to Wendusbad Caverns (heh! No joke). But aside from the overly-appropriate name, we had a pretty good time. Padmae was happy pretty much the whole way through, but she wasn't that thrilled when I jumped over the guard rails to have a look at a stalagtite. (Neither was the tourguide!) But she (my wife, I mean) brightened up when we got to the gift shop. She bought a little model of a stalagmite. I bought a picture of one to give to my Jeddi homework teacher Master Wendu and am going to write on the back, "Thanks for all the homework. Love, Ani". It would have been a perfect day except that Padmae told me that our last stop on our vacation is Shopping Spree Mall! Ugh!

Interesting...

Today we are leaving Aqualares (the location of the Big Bad Falls) and going to Luke and Lea's home planet - er asteroid. It is an asteroid called Uvo IV. The place where they were born (George Lucas got THAT part of the story right!). We will arrive there tomorrow. It has this tourist attraction called Wendusbad Caverns. I can't WAIT to see those! (I wonder if they will have stalactites and stalagmites in the form of homework papers!) I am going to get some photos to take home to Master Wendu! Hee hee hee!

Wild Ride!!!

Sorry I didn't write a post yesterday.  I was black and blue all day.  Ever since my attempt at riding an inflatable barrel down the Big Bad Falls (obviously a literal name).  It would have been a success, except for all the sharp rocks along the way.  (For those of you who don't know: inflatable things POP on sharp objects.  I found that fact of science out on Monday...)  Goodness gracious!  One thing I can say though, I am quite hydrated now...

The Big Bad Falls

The vacation continues. But, probably not today. We are staying in a hotel near the Big Bad Falls. (I have heard they are like the Niagara Falls. Except...bigger...and...more exciting!) We saw them yesterday, but I haven't gotten a chance to ride them in an inflatable barrel that I packed. Padmae is taking a nap right now. Now's my big chance!!!

The Journey Continues

Yesterday, we were on Moss Eyesley at Lucas Land.  Now, (this early in the morning) we are in the ship on our way to Aqualares where we will see The Big Bad Falls.  I heard it is really fun to ride a barrel down them.  I just don't know if Padmae will approve.  We'll see...  I really want some photos of this!
